Disclaimers & Frequently Asked questions

Packaging – Most of our packaging is reused or repurposed. When bought new, it is always done with the environment in mind. If you ever think our packaging is excessive, it may be because we are reusing a perfectly good box or it may be because we don’t use bubble wrap and we need to make sure your items are safe before their journey to you. Having said that, if you know of a way we could do better, please let us know! All packaging is recyclable. and any plastic used is biodegradable, even the film over your postage label.

Shipping – At the moment, we try to ship one or two times a week, so please keep this in mind when waiting for a parcel. We are usually very busy around our ‘shop updates’ so orders placed around then may take a bit longer to be processed. You will receive a shipping notice once your parcel has been processed and packed for shipping. If you would like your parcel to be shipped within a particular time frame, please get in touch to let as know after you have placed your order and we’ll arrange the appropriate shipping, this will come at an additional cost. We cannot combine multiple orders so please bare that in mind when ordering. We currently ship to The UK, US & EU, although we are happy to ship anywhere. Please get in touch with us if you would like to know shipping options for the country you live in. Prices are high at the moment due to Brexit but we will make sure to refund you any extra shipping fees. Shipping to US & EU should take around 7 days once the parcel has been processed and packed and you may be charged taxes and duties before or after receiving your item. This time frame may be longer over the holiday season. We are based in Scotland so all time based announcements will be made in BST/GMT time. I make and send all orders from my home in Scotland. If you have any severe allergies that cannot touch products coming into your home, please let me know before placing your order.

Vintage – It is very rare to find a genuine vintage or antique item that is in perfect condition so please be aware that any item listed as “vintage” or “antique” will come with its own unique patina. I try to capture these when photographing the items and will always describe it’s true condition in the item description but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like any more information about a specific item in our shop. All items are sold as seen.

Handmade – Handmade items are usually made before a shop launch but on some occasions, they are made to order, so please allow up to one week for handmade items and any orders containing handmade items to be shipped. If you need the items quickly, please get in touch to let us know. We are happy to make repairs to handmade items over the years so please get in touch via the form above if you would like more information on this.

At the moment, we do not offer refunds unless the item is faulty or doesn’t match the description given. Please read all descriptions and measurements carefully before purchasing any items from us.

Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to us.

Creating collections for Pops & Piaf is always rooted in the changing of the seasons in the Scottish countryside and creating a home that is deeply personal, warm and welcoming throughout the year. Inspired by rose tinted nostalgia and the art, films and books that give us a small glimpse into a world where even the most practical objects are beautiful. We lean into the time honoured tradition that the items that surround us should become heirlooms and that anything we need can be carefully collected, mended or made using the skills we have spent a lifetime learning.
